Fashion Revolution

Fashion Revolution Week where the world remembers the 2013 Rana Plaza tragedy where 1,134 people were killed and over 2,500 were injured when the garment factory complex collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

It’s a time for people from all over the world to come together to use the power of fashion to change the story for the people who make the world’s clothes and accessories.

From the team at Braintree UK creating the Thoughtful Clothing alone isn’t enough. They whole-heartedly value doing the right thing and want to feel good about everyone and everything they touch.

A word below from the owner and director John at Braintree.

'We take every step we can to make sure that kindness and respect is shown to the people and partners we work with. It’s important to us that we continue to work with some of the first factories we did when we founded Braintree over twenty years ago. We’ve grown our businesses and skills together and will continue to do so.

Naturally, we’ve also added to our partnerships along the way – though when we do, we always have the long term in mind.

Forming these continued partnerships mean our growth and vision are shared, and that together we create more jobs, protect wages, and develop skills as well as businesses. It’s important to us that our relationships are completely open and two-way. We enlist a Code of Conduct and other policies to help us do this.

As a supporter of ‘slow’ rather than ‘fast’ fashion we are dedicated to producing original, yet timeless pieces rather than chasing each fleeting trend. We believe in prolonging the life of both your clothes and their existence'.

We passionately believe in Fashion Revolution’s statement ‘…that fashion can be made in a safe, clean and beautiful way. Where creativity, quality, environment and people are valued equally’.
